Our Saturday morning was pretty superb; and by this I mean I was not in my usual panicking ways, trying to plan our weekly meals, I was not clipping coupons and flipping through all the local store flyers, no rushing of breakfast to ensure missing the Saturday rush with a toddler down the grocery store aisles. Nope, not this girl, my Saturday morning looked like this, rushing only to put on a bra after getting the call from “our guy” that he’d be dropping off our groceries in 10 minutes.
Friday evening I meal planned, with the help of the Save-On-Foods flyer, Pinterest, and the adorable menu planner via mama miss; I nailed down meals for the entire week, and placed my online order. I was feeling pretty “mom of the year” that night, and why shouldn’t I right? My family would be fed healthy meals all week long, and I didn’t even have to break the bank or add anymore greys to do it. I honestly can’t tell you enough just how much I love grocery shopping online, it just works, it saves us so much time, stress, and most of all, our families money.
So last week, I mentioned that I would be sharing my experience with grocery shopping online with Save-On-Foods for the next 4 weeks; I feel this would give a real-life comparison to just how much time and money it’ll save a family to make this switch. Today marks week 2 and things are lookin’ pretty good over here, we managed to save another huge chunk of money on this weeks shop, spent more time together as a family doing things we all enjoyed, and even spoiled ourselves with a little retail therapy on Saturday afternoon. #winning
After sharing week 1 with you last Wednesday, I was pumped to see so many comments and questions from you all. A few of you already knew of this service, but so many of you didn’t, that makes me so very sad. I couldn’t be happier that I’ve convinced so many of you to try the service out for yourselves, I hope you’ll come back and tell me all about it, better yet, let’s meet for coffee and talk about what we’re gonna’ to do with all the money you’re going to be saving?! Adding to your Fall wardrobe would be my suggestion, clothing and accessories are always the answer.
Okay, okay, okay, back to reality; last week I promised I would touch base on all the questions you had running through your minds regarding shopping online with Save-On-Foods. So many of you asked about the delivery service and what city they served; well, wonder no more:
Q: Where does Save-On-Foods currently delivery to?
A: Currently Save-On-Foods has their personal shoppers and delivery service available in 3 local stores, South Surrey, Port Coquitlam, and North Vancouver. In order to see if they deliver to your home, visit their website {www.saveonfoods.com} and select ‘shop online’. Provide your postal code and the system will automatically tell you whether or not you reside within the current delivery areas. If you do not, don’t shed a tear, they have definite plans to expand, be sure to provide them with your e-mail address so that when they introduce the service to your area, you’ll be first to know. BUT WAIT, you can still use their personal shopping pick-up service at these 3 locations, so do please consider this. Placing your orders online and picking them up already shopped, at your convenience would still make a huge impact on your lives, I’m sure of this.
Q: They don’t deliver yet to my area, do you have any idea on when they might start to?
A: The plans on expanding, are there. As this service is rather a “big” deal for Save-On-Foods, their goal is to delight and not disappoint; genius right? They started ‘small’ to make sure they got it right, with desires to expand to the Fraser Valley first. Adapting one of their Abbotsford stores for the service is next on the list, expect some news on this early into 2015. Naturally they can’t guarantee and exact timeline, but know that it is underway. The Okanagan, Victoria, Calgary, and Edmonton are centers that they’re looking at and considering expanding to as well, with priorities set on maintaining their high standards of service along the way. I recommend that you head on over to their site, plunk in your postal code and sign up to be notified as the service becomes available in your area.
As we affordably, and happily eat our way through week 2, I’m excited for what’s in store for week 3. Maybe we’ll try another Fresh Solutions recipe like the one we tried last week, or maybe Pinterest will get the best of me and I’ll plan a whole week of affordable slow cooker meals {gawd help us all, is it just me or does the thought of cleaning a slow cooker 7 times next week make you shed a few tears}. Please, if you have any questions at all about Save-On-Foods or their fancy-pants delivery service, do not hesitate to comment below, send me an email, or reach out to us on any of our social media channels; I’d be more than happy to answer them, or to get them answered.
Disclosure :: Overwaitea Food Group has asked me to share my overall experience with Save-On-Foods Online Grocery Shopping; since I was currently doing so, I gladly accepted. I’ve been compensated for taking the time to share my experience, but as always all opinions are honest and my own.
