Summer seems to have arrived early over this past week here in Vancouver. It’s sunny, with temperatures reaching the high 20’s and this can only mean one thing. 5:30am birdie walk up calls. It’s a good thing Sofia doesn’t sleep much past 6am these days, as I would have one unhappy baby being woken up at this hour each and everyday. For me, I don’t mind much. It’s almost like a soft alarm that wakes you in a slow process having you up and out of bed feeling happy. I like it.
Mama? Here Birdie! Come Me Birdie!
I often find myself checking in on Mama. Papa. Bubba., one of my all-time favorite Vancouver mama bloggers. I check in often to see what she is up to, what I can take inspiration from, something creative, yummy, or educational that I can do with Sofia Marie. Jen, the writer behind Mama. Papa. Bubba. is really brilliant. Simply put, she is one of the coolest mama’s I know. A little while back I saw she made Citrus Cup Bird Feeders with her babe, Gracen, and I knew that we had to make one of our very own. We chose to hang it in a tree that we pass by each and everyday as we leave the house. Sofia always makes it a point to check to make sure it’s full as we pass. Excitingly enough, its almost half empty as we walked by yesterday morning, which can only mean one thing…. our early morning music festival may have some more bands join the roster this week.
Head on over to Mama. Papa. Bubba. for a picture tutorial on how to make your very own Citrus Cup Bird Feeders.
