This BACK-TO-SCHOOL HACK is no joke.
It’s one that will make life easier including taste delicious!
We’ve been using Fresh Prep now going on 7 months and I see no end in sight. We’ve talked about it before and how it’s changed our lives. We’re talking about it again, but this time we’re incluing a fun Giveaway! Sam and I both thought we would get hooked on Fresh Prep for 1 reason, convenience. But in reality it’s been so much more than that. Shocking actually to see that convenience only measures up to a small fraction of why we use it.
Let’s start off with telling you WHY we love Fresh Prep so much:
- TASTE; I’m making meals each week I would normally never think of
- VARIETY; we pick our menu each week between 10 or 12 options
- SAVINGS; not buying anything we don’t need; we actually save each week
- ADVENTURE; picky eaters are willing to try when they can help in the kitchen
- CONVENIENCE; in most cases I have meals on the table in only 25 minutes
I don’t know about you but I don’t need much more convincing after these 5 points.
We all have one of those nights a week where its complete and udder chaos. The day that makes Monday’s look good. You know what I’m talking about, the mad rush in the morning to school. The appointments and errands until school pick-up. After-school activities that bring you home right at 6pm STARVING. And you’re left wondering what in the world you’re going to cook that will have these little humans fed and in bed so that you can catch your breath.
Can we all agree we have at LEAST one of these days a week? For us it’s Thursday.
We’ve got the morning rush to get Sofia successfully off to school, to rush home to get a quick snack before heading out the door to get Stella off to her Art Class. Run a few errands and eat lunch in the car. Back home for a nap and to get to the bottom of an inbox while symutamiously cleaning house. The rush back out the door to do the whole school pick-up thing. Zipping off to Ukulele and Voice lessons and hour out of the way. Rushing home, strolling in just before 6pm to make dinner, bathe the girls and have them off to bed by 7:30pm.
It’s not until then, at 7:30pm that I can sit and breathe. Taking in the whirl-wind of a day. Oh Thursday! You draining little bugger. Monday ain’t got nothing on you.
Thankfully some Thursday’s Sammy is home at 4pm which means when we get home, dinner is on the table. Those Thursdays are my favorite. But they don’t happen enough… and it’s why Fresh Prep for us is a life-saver.
OH HEY!
Remember when I said I would be hosting a Giveaway with Fresh Prep? Well this is that time. Conveniently the day before the CRAZY THURSDAY rat-race. It’s a good thing we’ve got Fresh Prep! Oh mama I hear you. Friday is that day for me! Friday is always a busy day for me work wise as I get everything done to be off for the weekend but this fall our Friday’s are NUTS. My hubby works an evening shift on Friday’s so I’m solo parenting. My kids get off school at 2:30, then my daughter has volleyball from 3:00-4:00, then gymnastics from 5:00 to 6:30. By the time we get back home through rush hour it’s at least 7:00 if not later. It would be so nice to have Fresh Prep for those nights!
