BEST OF NETFLIX; for the Holidays {+giveaway}

Isn’t it funny how an event or moment can mold into a family tradition so quickly? It’s sorta’ the case with baking cookies while watching a Christmas movie over the Holidays. It doesn’t just happen once in this house, I mean come on a dozen cookies only lasts a night of binge watching Homeland, right? Sofia and I bake cookies over the holidays at least 3 or 4 times, and along with being paired with a huge flour’y mess it also goes perfectly with a Christmas cartoon or classic Christmas movie.  This time, we tried a new recipe, which I will not share as I would love to […]

FEATURE: The Avion Rockstar Life

Don’t get stuck looking in from the outside, you too can be treated like a Rockstar with Avion! For the past 3 years we’ve enjoyed the luxury of shopping like a Rockstar over the Christmas Holidays. HA! This is not a joke, the only difference between how I shop and Justin Bieber is that he has to stop for autographs (sucker!). When you’re an Avion card holder you get the luxury of many things, but one that I thoroughly enjoy each year, and if you ask Sammy maybe a little too much, is the Avion Holiday Boutique.  Setup in Metropolis at Metrotown, the Avion Holiday Boutique offers […]

EVENTS: Christmas Farmers Market {coquitlam}

I love to shop, this is no surprise here, and when I can manage to combine both shopping and supporting local businesses the excitement level goes almost near embarrassing. There is something that feels so good about knowing where your money is going after you’ve made the purchase. Better yet, handing your money to the person who actually put the time and love into making each item. I love it! I love nothing more! This is why Coquitlam’s Christmas Farmers Market means so much, I have a chance to not only check items off my list of gifts to buy, but also getting those feel good feelings from supporting local businesses. […]

DIY: Holiday Bath Bombs

We try and do this as often as we can, get all the babes together under one roof for a fun craft’ernoon with their “pretty much family” friends. Close since they were born, the ages now range from 8 months to 6 years old, finding a craft that everyone can do is not easy, but this one at least everyone can use. Last month we did a Halloween inspired playdate which we managed to make bowls and bowls of Monster Slime and boy was it fun! This time around we changed seasons and geared our craft around the upcoming Christmas holiday. We had all the kids make Peppermint Bath […]

{nearly} Wordless Wednesday

Each year we put up the Christmas lights as a family. Normally speaking Sofia and I don’t last the entire while, but we give it our best until our desire for warm hands and hot chocolate filled bellies take over. I’m excited to say we lasted the entire while alongside Sammy, to his shock I think we were an actual help versus hindrance like in the past; wouldn’t you say Sammy (I know you’re reading this). The entire time we’re putting the lights up Sofia is asking when it’s time she can climb the ladder. It’s one of those things as a kid that just feels exhilarating, […]

It’s November, now what?

Goodbye October, Hello November! I’m having a hard time believing that we’re nearing the end of the year, like 2015 is soon to be a thing of the past. For real, were we not just writing our goals for the year and making promises that we knew we would break within 72 hours? It sure feels that way over here, someone, quick, hold me! I think it’s fair to say this year has gone by way too fast, slow down calendar gods, remember that time that 4 days took an eternity, you know like that time when I was 40 weeks pregnant. Yeah, make time go that slow again, […]

{nearly} Wordless Wednesday

Outfit Details// Old Navy Vest (similar), Joe Fresh Sweater (similar), Joe Fresh Jeans (on clearance), Target Boots Wordless is not really my thing, if anyone knows me they know I am far from quiet. I do however love the idea of getting away with a picture heavy post, and this is why we take part in Wordless Wednesday. Ours though, we would prefer to call nearly Wordless Wednesday because yeah, it’s what it is. I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.   -anne of green gables Pumpkin patchin’ with the school is what we got up to last week and boy was it […]

DIY: Monster Slime

The inspiration came from 2 completely different angles, a desire to want to get all the babes together again and of course the season of monsters and gobblins, Halloween. And so here we have it, a wild playdate geared around making a monster mess with Monster Slime. All our husbands grew up together, we all got married around the same time, give or take a few years and course kids came thereafter, give or take a few years. So of course getting them together as often as we can is something us wives do often, but it’s not always easy. The kids ages range from 2 to […]

DIY: Pumpkin Spice WHAT?!

I’ve heard and seen some of the most wildest do-it-yourself projects, like turning crafting pom-poms into a rug or taking an old shoe box and turning it into a smartphone projector. I mean thanks to Pinterest, we’ve been able to share our ingenious ideas with those around the world that are wild enough to try it. And this is why I love the internet so much, connecting like minded people from all around the globe over toilet paper roll craft ideas. The season is upon us where leaves start to turn color and fall from the trees, that and everyday products get an upgrade into Pumpkin Spice versions […]

FIVE THINGS: Unique ways to decorate easter eggs

The five unique ways you never thought to decorate your Easter eggs: 1. Family Egg Heads; saw these and knew they had to inspire my next post. You can thank the genius lady behind a subtle rivalry for today’s post. She took her and her families adorable mugs and put them on an egg, genius right? Check out the tutorial here. 2. Doodle Eggs; some people just rock at doodling, my mama is one of them. While she was on the phone with friends is when she did her best work. Some of you just have it in your veins, so why stop at scrap paper, take your compulsive doodling to the […]
