FASHION: Disney Clothing for Kids

Mickey Shirt, Jeans, Shoes // Mickey Hat // Minnie Pants, High-Tops // Dumbo Onesie, Dress NOTHING, I mean nothing beats getting the kids pumped for an upcoming Disneyland Vacation than online shopping for some new Disney wardrobe additions. Don’t get me wrong, picking up some Disney clothing in the park is also mandatory, souvenir tee’s are the greatest (hello! adorable pieces they can hang onto for their kids), but why wait to lather them in Disney attire, especially when some retailers have made it so affordable to do so now. After a bit of hunting I noticed that some of my ultimate favorite retailers carry Disney clothing, The Gap, […]

Whistler Traditions {travel + fashion}

Screw Christmas Crackers and New matching pajamas, I’ve managed to make a vacation a holiday tradition in our family…  trust me guys, I’m even baffled by this one.    Sammy and I have been vacationing in Whistler over the Holidays since we first started dating 10yrs ago, ACTUALLY WAIT!  we even went there for our Honeymoon! This folks is why we call Whistler our happy place. We go up as close to Christmas as we can afford (no seriously, that’s the truth!). If we can manage a great rate or snag a Living Social deal early on in the year we go the week before Christmas, if we can’t and we’re hogtied into […]

VACATION: Disneyland Reveal

Remember when I told you we were going to Disneyland again? And remember when I told you I had something super fun planned to reveal the family trip to Sofia and her cousin Max? And I’m not sure if I also mentioned to you, but you should also know I have a horrible sense of “drawing the line” and often go overboard in the whole excitement and reveal… And because none of it actually happened unless you document it (am I right?), we have photographic and video evidence that I love watching over and over again but also proves going overboard is “my thing”. DISNEY REVEAL PLAN […]

TRAVEL: Harrison HOT HOT HOT Springs

Harrison Hot Springs has got to be one of my favorite places locally to vacation. It’s close (about a 1.5hr drive from our home), it’s beautiful (clearly), it’s relaxing (again, the picture speaks for itself), and while were there it feels as though we are so far from home (in a good way). We’ve been making the trip out to Harrison Hot Springs now as a family since 2014… I’m telling you this not because I wanna’ get all sappy and reminisce about the past, no silly! because we just firmed up our next stay at the Harrison Hot Springs Resort making this our 3rd visit to date. July can’t […]

The Great Wolf Kids Clubhouse Crew Visit the Clubhouse on the second floor and make your own stuffy (included in the Pup Pass) Water-Park Cabana Rentals From $99 to $129 have a private Cabana at the water-park, with service staff and a stocked mini fridge The trek into Great Wolf Lodge in Grand Mound Washington is nearly 4 hours from where we live, including the border crossing and traffic on the highway in Seattle. Needless to say we had no hesitation in making the vacation a reality because we had high hopes for this place, we had heard so many good things. Great Wolf Lodge has been on […]

TRAVEL: Great Wolf Lodge, Here We Come!

We’ve been planning this trip to Great Wolf Lodge in our minds, Sammy and I (hello kids at heart), for let’s just say too many years. It’s been one of those vacations that we knew we had to wait until Sofia was a little bit older to fully enjoy, but we’ve been dreaming about for quite sometime. We finally put the brakes on our dreams and made it a reality, leaving in just a few short weeks.  a deal we could not refuse is what had us planning our first family vacation to Great Wolf Lodge. They were running a promotion on their website for $99US a […]

TRAVEL: Seattle Vacation {with littles}

You know you’re a parent when…. You plan a vacation around going to the Zoo; and this is exactly how our trip to Seattle got started. We’ve been wanting to go to Seattle now for quite sometime, let’s just say for far too long. For one, I had never been to Seattle, driven through sure (quite possibly asleep), but not actually stopped and taken in the city. Sofia of course has never been and Sammy well he’s the best road trip driver ever so he was coming along for the ride whether he wanted to or not.  We knew having heard from others, that the Seattle Zoo, […]

FAMILY: A Day In The Life {Seattle Bound}

Our morning got off to a rather interesting start, she requested a sandwich for breakfast with a side of *really* green smoothie on her Marcus & Marcus rubber divided plate, I wasn’t about to fight her on it as we wanted to be in the car and out the door in 30 minutes. She got her request, ate is all without any drive-by requests “take another bite please” from yours truly; So I’m going to just chalk this one up as a win. But of course in that 30 minutes between being up, changed, fed and out the door she decided that the outfit she had chosen […]

TRAVEL: Seattle, here we come!

I’m 32 years old, lived in Vancouver my whole life and never have I been to Seattle, our super chill american neighbors. Crazy right? I mean I’ve been across the line, but I go as far as I need, Trader Joe’s, Target and the outlets, never to Seattle. It’s a terrible shame really, but that all changes next month, as we’re headed to Seattle for a little family vacation!  This trip has been a long time in the making, Sammy has been trying to plan a trip to Seattle for Sofia and I the past 2 years, things were just not coming together. It wasn’t until this […]

TRAVEL: Tofino Family Vacation

Tofino has this little piece of real estate in my heart. Even though I’ve been there very little, it will always be my happy place. Sammy proposed to me in Tofino back in 2007 and then back again this past month 9 years later in a long overdue family vacation. I’m not talkin’ me, Sammy and Sofia, I’m talking the whole crew, my parents, our family, my brother and his family and sister and her family. All 12 of us loaded up and headed to Tofino for a little R&R over the BC Family Day long weekend.  Family vacations, when they involve this many people are not […]
