FIVE THINGS {weekly link-up}

The five things you may not know about me:

1. before little miss mama, i wrote a blog all about tea. i reviewed tea from around the world and posted my tea notes, similar to that written in a diary of a tea obsessed school girl. it was an outlet to share my passion for sipping, then sofia was born and i’m lucky if i get a cup throughout the day. she is however worth every missed sip.

2. my nana has tried to teach me to knit 3 times now; with the last time being over the winter holidays. pretty sure she thinks i’m a lost cause, but of course she would never tell me that. she excitedly sits me down and shows me the ropes, this time however i video recorded her instructions; a video i know i will cherish always.

3. the grass is always greener on the other side, right? as you all know me most, my hair is a craze of curls, but if you asked me how i would prefer it, my answer may shock you. i love straight, kink-less hair.

4. family is everything to me; so much so that i still spend the night over at my parents with my siblings on christmas eve, waking up christmas morning as a family. i love waking up in my old bedroom, with a husband and baby by my side; surreal.

5. i’m the baby of the family. i am the youngest of 3 and i was far from a planned pregnancy. as my mama would say i was a special surprise, as my brother would say i was a mistake. either way i’m here to make my parents proud, look up to my sister, and irritate the s!&t out of my brother.

Now, it’s your turn. Link-up below following the few rules we do have:

1. Five Things link up is posted every Thursday at Midnight EST. Share any five things that are on your mind right now. Whether it’s something you are obsessing with on Pinterest, a new and exciting event going on in your life, or even sharing five of your favorite books; it’s totally up to you.

2. Please put the Five Things button {pictured above} on the post your sharing for the link up; sharing is caring, the more players involved the more fun we’ll all have, so let’s make this big.

3. Please follow both your hosts Diana from the world around her and Tairalyn from Little Miss Mama via Facebook {here and here} and/or Twitter {here and here}. As it’s not mandatory it is greatly appreciated.

4. If you tweet about the link up, feel free to tag myself & Diana while using the hashtag #FiveThingsParty; if you instagram about it, a big thank you and kisses to you, tag myself & Diana and the hashtag #FiveThingsParty.

5. Check out other bloggers who’ve linked up, show them some love and comment on at least one other bloggers link-up post. Why? Because it’s kind and it makes them feel all warm and tingly inside; be the reason they smile extra big today!

  1. This is so sweet, I love that you spend Christmas Eve with your parents in your old home!! That must make for some wonderful memories and photos seeing Sofia enjoying it there as well. I am def joining in on this 5 things you don’t know about me next week!

    Love that your nana keeps teaching you to knit and that you now have it on video. Your heart is so big my friend! xoxo

  2. The video of your nana showing you how to knit is one you will always cherish. I took up knitting in honor of my Grandmother after she passed, although I rarely find time to knit anymore when I do I pick up her needles and can feel her next to me.

    Love your straight hair too, I didn’t even recognize you – I’m sure it takes a long time to get it that way, which busy Moms just don’t have 🙂
