The five things you may not know about me:
1. before little miss mama, i wrote a blog all about tea. i reviewed tea from around the world and posted my tea notes, similar to that written in a diary of a tea obsessed school girl. it was an outlet to share my passion for sipping, then sofia was born and i’m lucky if i get a cup throughout the day. she is however worth every missed sip.
2. my nana has tried to teach me to knit 3 times now; with the last time being over the winter holidays. pretty sure she thinks i’m a lost cause, but of course she would never tell me that. she excitedly sits me down and shows me the ropes, this time however i video recorded her instructions; a video i know i will cherish always.
3. the grass is always greener on the other side, right? as you all know me most, my hair is a craze of curls, but if you asked me how i would prefer it, my answer may shock you. i love straight, kink-less hair.
4. family is everything to me; so much so that i still spend the night over at my parents with my siblings on christmas eve, waking up christmas morning as a family. i love waking up in my old bedroom, with a husband and baby by my side; surreal.
5. i’m the baby of the family. i am the youngest of 3 and i was far from a planned pregnancy. as my mama would say i was a special surprise, as my brother would say i was a mistake. either way i’m here to make my parents proud, look up to my sister, and irritate the s!&t out of my brother.

This is so sweet, I love that you spend Christmas Eve with your parents in your old home!! That must make for some wonderful memories and photos seeing Sofia enjoying it there as well. I am def joining in on this 5 things you don’t know about me next week!

The video of your nana showing you how to knit is one you will always cherish. I took up knitting in honor of my Grandmother after she passed, although I rarely find time to knit anymore when I do I pick up her needles and can feel her next to me.
Love your straight hair too, I didn’t even recognize you – I’m sure it takes a long time to get it that way, which busy Moms just don’t have 🙂
