THIS IS MAJOR PEOPLE
Like I’m talkin’ HUGE…
Today I’m not only sharing my TOP 4 New Mom Gifts but GIVING THEM AWAY TO ONE LUCKY WINNER!!!
I told you it was huge! I couldn’t be happier to share that we are working closely with an amazing group of companies to bring you this amazing Giveaway. These 4 items make up the ideal New Mom Gifts to give a woman who has just returned home from the hospital; your adorable baby outfits are totally appreciated and loved, but these are the things a new mom really needs. I dug deep for this one, sat down and really thought about all the things I wish had after giving birth to Sofia, all the things I will ensure I have now doing this new mom thing for a second time. All the things that would’ve made my life easier as a brand new mom, I’ve compiled them into one amazing New Mom Gift Guide.
Let me explain why I feel these 4 items make for the best gifts to give a new mom;
Luxury Pajamas (Figure8 Maternity)
With Sofia, the first 8 months were a complete whirl-wind! Long nights, early mornings, and let’s be honest some nights where we didn’t sleep at all, just played hot potato with a new baby who preferred crying to sleep. When I look back now all I craved was normalcy, I know that a simple thing like a luxurious pair of Pajamas, something other than over-sized sweats could’ve made all the difference in taking the edge off of things. Feeling spoiled at a time in great need (of sleep) would’ve gone a long way in my books. This time around things will be different, I’ve stocked up on beautiful Pajamas thanks to Figure 8 and I will be living in them, literally the first few months home (you’re welcome courier guy!). These Pajamas will be on a healthy rotation and flawless laundry schedule that way I will have no problem feeling taken care of when I need it most.

Tummy Shaper (Belly Bandit)
I had one with Sofia, and you’d better believe I will have it again with this babe too (why change something that just works). I was told about Belly Bandit back in 2011 and did my research to the point where I knew that it was something I had needed (not just wanted) for after Sofia was born. NEW FLASH, I’ve got curves, and I wanted to make sure I kept them even after what I had just put my body through. Physically and emotionally you go through a lot after the birth of your child and having a small senses of normalcy in your life again (with the body you remember) will allow you to appreciate the new normal that much more.

Grocery Delivery (SPUD)
I did not know about the wonderful world of Grocery Delivery until well after Sofia was born. To give you an idea on what our fridge and pantry looked like after Sofia was born, well let’s just say Sammy dropped 10 lbs and I was running off snacks in that first 2 weeks home from the hospital. Neither Sammy or I made an actual meal, either time or energy were lacking. If we had the energy is was put to doing things like laundry and keeping up with bills and if we had the extra time, sleep won the arm wrestle. This time, things will be different, I will be making a ton of crock-pot meals to throw in the freezer this month as well as be prepared in the sense of keeping a schedule with a local grocery delivery service. Something as important as eating will not go missed this time around!
>> WHAT YOU WILL WIN: a $75 Gift Card to Spud.ca (or; if out of the delivery area a $75 Visa Gift Card)
TV on your time (Netflix and Apple TV)
Your life schedule changes to provide for this new little being that needs you in the biggest way. You’re up when you should be down and you’re down (napping) when you should be up (being human). Having a newborn baby in the house changes absolutely everything and a way around totally feeling lost in the new normal is a good TV or re-runs of a favorite series. Say hello and make nice with your PVR, Netflix subscription and Apple TV box, they allow you to watch TV on your time which is amazing. The midnight snuggles and Netflix go better together than peanut butter and jelly, and this time around it’s going to make things easier, I just know it!
>> WHAT YOU WILL WIN: an Apple TV Box
