Painting Pumpkins = No Roasted Seeds

Went over to our bestfriends house the other night to get our “spook” on. Decorated a Haunted Gingerbread House with the kidlets and painted our pumpkin. Yes that’s right lovelies, I said painted. We opted to forego the knives this year and stalk our hands with paint brushes and acrylic paints. Although I am very sad we are left with no seeds to roast I am extremely pleased with how they turned out. Sweet and Chic I like to think, it was a job well done on everyone’s parts.

Sammy and I find ourselves over at out friends houses often, gets us out of the house nightly and give Sofia a chance to play with her forever best buddies. Sofia and Kiara are a mere year apart in age but Sofia doesn’t let that stop her from mimicking her BFF and keeping up with what Kiara has in store for the night. As I don’t leave the house without my camera, here is, I’m sure far too many images from the evening.

Tell me lovelies, what is your favorite part of Halloween? Horror Movies, Trick or Treating, Carving Pumpkins, Roasted Seeds… do tell! As Sofia gets older I would like to add a few more traditions to our holidays and idea’s are always appreciated!

  1. We just finished carving our pumpkins! The seeds are roasting in the oven as I type this. I thought about painting or other form of decorating and then i felt like the pumpkin would be a waste if I didnt use any of it. But thats just how I felt.
My favorite Halloween tradition is the Haunted House that we make every year. We always make it awesome and scary. Its a lot of fun and even though theres a foot of snow already this year its not stopping us.
