So… remember when I said that Gestational Diabetes was a good thing? I made a list of the things I found that could be looked at as the silver lining to being diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes? And remember when I said one of those things could be a new pair of running shoes? Yeeeeeah I wasn’t blowing smoke people, this kid right here, she got a new pair of sneaks… guess what?!
She also wants to be like Oprah and GIVE YOU A PAIR TOO! Good right? You see what I did there? Who wants a new pair of sneakers in perfect time for the active Summer months ahead? You know what I’m talking about, the after dinner walks that sound like a bad idea but feel so good when they’re done. The impromptu bike rides your kids convince you to join them on or the game of “catch me if you can” you play every. single. day. at the park when you give your kids the 5-minute warning. At least now you can do it with style and grace, or maybe just style!
I’m teaming up with New Balance as I walk (aka waddle) my way through the rest of this pregnancy. Having just been diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes one of the ways I’m able to manage it, along with diet, is walking; walking after every meal for 10 to 15 minutes increases my production of insulin which in turn keeps my blood sugars low and allows me to dodge the bullet of having to interject with insulin injections (yippee!). So in celebration of this New Balance was kind enough to offer one of my lucky Canadian readers a pair of sneakers, of your choice, from their site (sorry guys, this one is only open to Canadian residence, the next one will be for you).

I want to thank New Balance for not only making a comfortable and cute shoe, but coming on board cheering me on from the sidelines as I walk my way through the rest of this pregnancy. This baby is beyond loved and cared for, walking after each meal while managing my diet is the very least I could do for her, giving her the best start to her own healthy life.
Thank you New Balance for helping make this little hiccup in the road a little bit easier!
Disclosure :: This post is sponsored by New Balance, however all opinions are my own. As you can clearly see we not only love there shoes, but we look cute in them too. #winwin
