Spring has sprung and what better way to celebrate than with a bubbly concoction hosting some of my favorite things that remind me of the warmer days ahead; pineapple, mint and bubbles, lots and lots of bubbles. Lucky for me I’m one of SodaStreams newest ambassadors and because of it I have one that sits counter-side waiting for me to get creative. two weekends ago we went into business with Pineapple and Mint, paired it with SodaStreams Lemon-Lime soda mix and it was a match made in bubble heaven.
…did you know 1 billion bottles are produced each day and 800 million end up in landfills
REWIND >> a few weeks ago I got word that SodaStream and PTPA chose me as one of their Ambassadors, so over the next 3 months I’m going to share with you all my favorite combination I dream up over the course of my collaboration with them. Lately I’ve been going to sleep at night dreaming up the next dangerous mix and when I think I’ve nailed it in my sleep, it’s those morning that I brew and bubble. For those of you who have a SodaStream, hopefully I’ll bring you some new inspiration for your next patio party and for those of you who don’t own a SodaStream, I hope to enlighten you on just how much this sleek appliance does, not only for your bubbly beverage consumption but your health and grocery bill.
A few awesome facts about SodaStream…
- Quick, convenient and easy to use; literally takes me less than 60 seconds to make a bottle
- No more storing cases of soda; I don’t know anyone who would pass-up on extra storage?
- Over 30 flavors, including regular, diet and caffeine-free options
- Regular flavors have much less sugar, carbs and sodium than store-bought brands
- Diet flavors are sweetened with Splenda® and contain no aspartame; for me this is a major plus
- They use reusable BPA-free bottles and concentrated sodamix cut down on recyclables and disposables; 1 bottle of SodaStream can replace 2,000 bottles/cans, it’s obvious Sodastream is concerned about our environment
- No batteries, electricity or plumbing needed; which means you can bubble anywhere. camping gone fancy

…and now, for our first SodaStream recipe; it came to me with a desire for feeling some sunshine from the inside out. As some of you know, I live in Canada {Vancouver, British Columbia} where the winters are cold, long and drawn out, so obtaining the feeling of summer anyway we can is key. Our first drink did just that, I hope you enjoy our Pineapple Mint Spring Bubbly inspired by warm days and made with our SodaStream.

Pineapple Mint Spring Bubbly
1 bottle of Lemon-Lime Soda via SodaStream
20 Pineapple chunks | fresh or frozen, 1″ cubes
2 tbsp Sugar
3 tbsp Mint | fresh, chopped
*makes 4 servings
Start off by making your Lemon-Lime Soda. This is really the best part, besides actually drinking it. Fill your bottle with chilled filtered water and decide how bubbly you want it {another nice feature you get with SodaStream, you can choose the amount of carbonation to your drinks}, we love bubbles so we went with level 3. Carbonate your water and add in your Lemon-Lime syrup. Putting on and tightening the lid, give it a soft mix, place it in your refrigerator and let it sit.
Next you want to get your frozen Pineapples, Sugar and Mint and mix it all together, letting it sit for at least 30 minutes. giving the Pineapple and Mint time to meld together is key. If you plan on doing this for longer I suggest putting your mixture in the fridge so it stays cool; for the Pineapple acts like ice cubes and keeps your beverage crisp and cold.
When you’re ready for your splash of spring, begin by layering your glass. Start off by scooping 5 Pineapple chunks into your cup, topping that off with crushed ice and then filling your glass with your fresh Lemon-Lime Soda. Sip and Enjoy!

We use Tower Garden to grow our own organic produce. Tower Garden uses less than 10% of the water and land required by traditional, soil-based agriculture, and we cut our carbon footprint by recycling natural resources, potentially reducing pesticide use, and virtually eliminating the need to ship and store produce.
