We caught a HUGE tadpole {vlog}

We did it, WE VLOGGED AGAIN! After what feels like a GIGANTIC break since our last vlog (really only a week) I’m feeling good about this vlog. We got hit pretty hard with a virus since getting back from holidays and really have been just struggling to get through life without tears. BUT that’s over, back to life again… We headed out to catch Tadpoles, and learnt a very good lesson which kept us out of jail. Thank you PetSmart lady for strongly advising us not to take home said Tadpole. Watch here>> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pn39uULO9dI&t=1s *** Are you following us on social media? Husbands Doing Laundry {+free printable}

There is nothing hotter than a man who cleans; am I right ladies? When it comes to husbands, I know I won the lotto and I don’t even have to split the winnings (hello! sister wives). 10 years together and it’s safe to say that we’ve finally found our groove as a couple, and YES that means my husband cleans and does the laundry.  I cook all meals, make all lunches, keep the house tidy and the kids alive and on weekends he does a deep clean and any dirty laundry that still needs doing. It’s not for everyone, but it works for us. Don’t get me wrong […]

Tiny Happy Tuesday

So my girl Hillary over at Hillary with two L’s Please has started a movement, Tiny Happy Tuesday’s and I wanted to get involved; mostly because I need some tiny happies in my life, and because I love this girl! So let’s do this people, let’s share our tiny happies and have a warm tingly feel good moment together this Tuesday (one that’s not brought on by caffeine)… Tiny Happy Tuesday is a prompt to acknowledge the good, no matter how small. Acknowledging (and sharing!) tiny happies can lead to bigger happies as we train our brain to find the good.  Tiny Happy #1 // Sissy Sofia has made it very […]

Vlog001 (this is not a test)

WE DID IT. We finally took the jump, recorded and posted our first vlog and you can watch it here… YOU GUYS we did it! …PSSSSST this is when you chime in and tell me how proud you are of me! It’s not perfect, it’s not how I imagined our FIRST vlog going, but I couldn’t continue to wait any longer. Life was happening and moments I wan’t to capture were passing me by. No more waiting for the perfect time; a better camera will come, better audio will follow, getting better at using the editing software comes with time, I’ll learn to always shoot horizontally and better […]

Baby Products That Last (the test of time)

When it comes to baby gear I am all about LONGEVITY. Whether it’s to keep for future babies, for friends with future baby plans or to sell and recoup part of my investment back. For me I look at the company and brand, are they reputable, do they make a quality product and have they lasted the TEST OF TIME? Just off the top of my head, a few brands that come to mind when I think quality baby gear, I think Fisher-Price, Graco, Britax, Peg-Perego, Munchkin… all these are companies that have been around the (baby) block. They have lasted the test of time through not only […]

Baby Monitor Bliss

I like to sleep next to her, without having to sleep in her crib.  I like to have my eye on her at any given moment, but also giving her space. …and I can with a video baby monitor.  Why steer away from a brand you love and trust between kids, right? When we were on the hunt for a baby monitor for Stella I did search around to see what was new on the market, but at the end of the day I knew I would end up with a Levana Baby Monitor. We had one with Sofia, we bought ones for our friends who were […]

Crying Over What Could’ve Been

Go ahead! Call me an EMOTIONAL WRECK you guys…. but do you ever do this? Do you find yourself crying over things that could’ve been? Like a child you may have never had?! Lately I’ve been going back and thinking what if (it’s a very dangerous place). Letting my mind go to a place of what “could’ve been” royally sucks. Just a few weeks ago I thought about how life has changed since having Stella and I was quick to remind myself how crazy I was for thinking that we thought we were done after one. Sofia had my heart, she kept us busy, we were getting into the swing of […]

FAMILY: Sisters; what I wish for you

When Sammy and I toyed with the idea of having a second child my only hope besides dodging the unfortunate colic bandwagon this time, was for Sofia and her sibling to hold a relationship like I do with my siblings; an unbreakable bond of sibling love that goes far deeper than any friendship could ever. The reassuring feeling that no matter what road you take, however much time has passed or distance between you, no matter what unforgivable fashion choices you’ve made this person will forever love you, support you and stand by your side. Besides a clean bill of health and as little heart break as possible […]

I’m The Worst Neighbor

KEEPING UP WITHE THE JONESES CAN BE A TOUGH ROAD Being a good neighbor doesn’t have to be difficult, but quite frankly you can make it that way. Trying to top your neighbors at every opportunity you get, and apparently… this is exactly what I’ve done to myself.! We live in an amazing neighborhood. We have neighbors who we often carry long drawn out conversations at fence level with about the weather and how home renovations can suck you dry. We truly feel as though we have struck it rich living in the home and area that we do, but with the good comes evil right? The feeling of […]
