Here in Canada we don’t have the luxury of running out in our pajamas in a state of emergency to replace an empty jar of cookie butter for the planned evening events of Netflix binge watching. NOPE! Not here. We have to find our passports, dust it off, find a border crossing that isn’t sitting an an hour wait, drive the 45 minute to the said crossing, wait, get all nervous with innocents, get drilled by the crossing guard on why you’re requesting a visit to the states to simply get a jar of mushed up cookies.
That my friends is what you call some serious dedication for the Trader Joe Cookie Butter, it’s also why when I do go across, I really LOAD UP!
Wanted to share with you some of the fun things we found at Trader Joe’s during the last “pantry stocking”. We found so many amazing Pumpkin Spice products along with some of our old faithfuls. Let’s just go ahead and cal this our Trader Joe Fall Haul!
Trader Joe knows we like macrons and he also knows well that we don’t like paying $3 each (because who can eat just one). It’s really why I love Mr. Joe so much, he gets me. He get’s my obsession with the delicious and perfect tea accompaniment, the macron. This here little pack of 12 macrons is only $4.99. SPEECHLESS? Me too!
Next to bat is another regular buy, it’s the Trader Joe’s brand of freeze dried strawberries. Both my girls LOVE them (borderline obsessed) and they’re a great snack that fit perfectly in their little snack boxes. Not only that but they make bringing a healthy snack on the run possible; because the last thing I want in our moving vehicle is fresh berries flying between the girls.
And finally the last item I buy on the regular that we picked up is their fruit bars. WHAT! Why? Don’t you have a decent fruit bar in Canada?! I bet this is what you’re thinking, and you’re very right, we do, but to find it with only 1 or 2 fruits, no other junk, no added sugar and only $.99 that’s something I just can’t pass up. That and Sofia loves them, which is BIG in my books.
The next string of items I got was simply to satisfy a craving. A strong PUMPKIN SPICE CRAVING that us Canadians get every fall but can never full satisfy with what’s available locally. NOW WAIT! Don’t get me wrong, we have a few items, like Pumpkin Spice Cheerios and Pumpkin Spice Oreo’s and even a Pumpkin Spice Lindt Chocolate. Apparently Canada gets these things too but it’s so damn hard to get your hands on them I’m calling BS.
Here is what Pumpkin Spice items I found at Trader Joe’s that will trump anything we got here in Vancouver. Pumpkin Spice Cereal, Pumpkin Tortilla Chips, Pumpkin Spice Granola, and Pumpkin Spice Shortbread Cookies; along with these items I also got Apple Cider, these Ghosts & Bats Chips, their Sugar-Free Gummy Bears and Trader Joe’s Milk Chocolate Lover’s Chocolate Bar.
That’s it. That’s all for this Fall Trader Joe Haul. But stay tuned for another before I have already run out of the Apple Cider and Macarons, let’s just say I had company over one of the nights. Or something like that!
