Vancouver Fashion Week Favorites

Vancouver Fashion Week has come to an end, packed its glittery bags and taken a piece of me with it. What does a lady have to do to go to a Runway Show each and every week? I’ll settle for once a month even, I’m easy to work with, really! Vancouver Fashion Week come back!

I can’t put my finger on one actual point in the entire week that was my favorite, but I can pick some of my favorites and show you in images… I’ll do it only because I love you all so! As you know I got my 2.5 seconds of fame when the Little Miss Mama Logo flashed the runway screens. Wow! I’m still in aw! A girl that wishes to see her name in lights one of these day is mighty close to marking it off her bucket list.

Out of the 6 days of Vancouver Fashion Week I was able to attend 2 of the nights. I can only play Fashion Vixen for so long, before my more important roll, a mother, tugs at my pant leg and says ma-ma. I’m so very lucky to wrap my baby in her blankets and sing her to sleep each and every night. I really am one lucky woman, getting to do what I love and still come home and play mother and wife.

From the 2 amazing evenings that I was able to attend here are some of my favorite pieces:

1st Night for Fancy little me – Day 2 of Vancouver Fashion Week

Starting off with DE OCAMPO
High Collars, Lace Details and Chic Structure on all her pieces. Brilliant!

Next we have Elik + Afsi
With color combinations that have me dreaming of a crisp fresh fall, I cannot wait to take inspiration from their show into my Fall and Winter Wardrobe. Orange and Grey here I come.

…who adorns each of her designs with a wooden button. The pieces are by far magical with details that could kill. Hoods are my weakness, and this pieces, must be mine! Nothing short of amazing. What talent this woman has.

Last we have Synikal by Byron Abad
His swimsuit cover-up really took me back. What will it take to have my skin grace the insides of this silky number? I’d do anything…. almost!

2nd Night for fancy little me – Day 4 for Vancouver Fashion Week

Starting the night with KoH T by Taisuke Kohji
His color blocked sleeves and patchwork pants were just divine, one of my favorite of the night.

Next we’ll feature Pola Thomson
Who not only had killer structure in her pieces but silk flowing ensembles that moved more graceful than flowers in the wind. She also had some brilliant accessories that looked of driftwood made of ceramic all in primary colors. Must get my hands on a necklace, or two or three.

Last one of my favorites we have Xsenia & Olya
Flattering silhouette in brilliant patterns and spectacular colors, that about sums up this designer. I could have felt beautifully me wearing anyone of her pieces. So fresh and feminine.
