What I Wore: Fashionably Clashing

What I Wore out for Tea:
Mixing so many colors and textures doesn’t have to be a train wreck. I’m queen of the two-tones, so this coming from me says a lot. I bought this gorgeous lace skirt from HauteLook around 2 weeks ago. First time wearing it, I know it won’t be one of those pieces that comes out twice a year. When it pairs so perfectly with a casual Jean Top, I know its going to go with so much more in my existing wardrobe.

Here is the breakdown of What I Wore:

Top: Charlotte Russe {similar here}
Skirt: Walter Baker via HauteLook
Shoes: Gift
Purse: Designer on a Dime DIY
Belt: Joe Fresh {similar here}
Bracelets: H&M
Necklace: lia sophia c/o Erika Scott
Ring {right hand}: lia sophia c/o Erika Scott
Ring {left hand}: Custom Jeweler via a pretty amazing man 😉

BE INSPIRED

Play with Colors you wouldn’t put together at first sight – Blue, Red, Cream, Black, Gold
Mix Textures you naturally might stay away from – Jean, Leather & Lace
Put an outfit together based solely on them being lovely and not because they match

————————————————————————————————————————————

What I Wore may make some nervous, and I don’t blame you. Until last week I stuck to clothing that make me comfortable. Not moving outside the matchy match box too much. I have however, changed the way I look at putting together an ensemble. From here on it I will chose pieces that I love and “make them work” vs. finding pieces that match.

Tell me, have you put together something recently that doesn’t particularly match – but made you feel delicious? Share with me…. Inspire me…. I’d love to see your comments below.
