Whistler is one of those places for Sammy and I that we crave visiting during the Winter months. Their is just something about Whistler Village during the holidays that draws us in. Maybe its the snow, or the obsurd amounts of Christmas light, or maybe its just the hustle and bustle of the village, seeing everyone bundled up, sipping their Starbucks with no worry in the world. Either way you look at it, we love visiting and we do it every year.
This year we had some more friends hop on the chilly vacation “band-wagon”… in total we had 6 adults and 3 kids under 3. Naturally with the guest list we had full desires to focus on kid friendly fun, we took a sleighride through the village, baked and iced Gingerbread cookies and snuggled up fireside watching Toopy and Binoo Christmas Special. Not only did Sammy and I need this mini winter vacation, but we loved that fact that we got to take Sofia Marie at such a young age. We hope to take Sofia each and every year in December for some snowy fun before a visit from the jolly ol’ man in the big red suit.
Note to self; next year we shall do it the second weekend in December, this way we are for sure a BIG dump of fluffy snow to play in.
