As you know we set off on a Seattle Road Trip last week. Let’s just say things got off to a rocky start.
Things got started when we were pulled over by border patrol and had our car checked top to bottom. It was actually quite interesting to watch a full grown man throw himself on the ground and army crawl under our vehicle. Stella had no idea this was all going down as she was far too busy making a scene. You know when kids go limp so you can’t get them up off the floor? Combine this with her screaming CAW-CAW while pointing at the taxidermy eagle they had at the border. We were quite the sight, let me tell you.
Wait, it gets better. While filling out the paperwork that proves our complete innocents I was holding onto a chewed up french fry. Found it on the floor of the car and did not want a border patrol agent to stumble on it so I took it inside with us. I asked if I could throw something out behind the counter as no trash cans were made available in the foyer and I got a HARD NO!
I’ll take it, whatever you have, I’ve seen worst.
I handed over a slobbery chewed up french fry to the border patrol who I was hoping would give us no more grief. He looked at me the whole time, locked eyes and didn’t even break a smile. I dropped it in his hand and that’s when I died.
Our Seattle Road Trip was going to be EPIC. We just had to get across the border first.
As a lot of you ask about our travel details, here is where we stayed and what we got up to;
Hotel // Hampton Inn & Suites
* we’ve stayed at this hotel 6 or more times and just love it. Our favorite features have got to be the free breakfasts, Happy Hour, 24 hour pool and free parking. I’m telling you, you can’t go wrong staying at a Hampton Inn.
Seattle Zoo // Woodland Park Zoo
* hands down our favorite Zoo ever. We’ve been there 3 times now and it never gets old. Last year we went right after a baby giraffe had been born. This year they had just brought in a Rhino. We go at the very best times!
Kids Museum // Imagine Children’s Museum
* we went only breifly last road trip and we regretted not making more time for the pit stop. This time we dedicated an entire day. And yes. An entire day can be spent there.

Well at least that’ll be one memorable trip, lol. We always have to go through a border patrol checkpoint area when we go on trips. We live about 20 minutes from the Mexico border in Texas and every time we go in a trip, we have to stop and answer questions or get our vehicles checked. And kids ALWAYS make things interesting ?

Oh goodness Cori, you pretty much summed it up perfectly. Kids ALWAYS make things interesting. Isn’t that the truth! Thanks for coming by and watching us get into all sorts of trouble 🙂
