A Scone, is a Scone, is a Scone? I think not…
For those of you who love a good Scone, you have got to try this recipe. A fabulous, yet healthy alternative to the butter packed, sugar soaked traditional Scone. I promise you, these babies will have to wishing you had done a morning Tea tradition sooner…. I’ve had one every morning for the past week and let me tell you, my english accent if coming along just splendidly lad.

INGREDIENTS
1 cup White Flour
1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
1/4 cup Brown Sugar
3 tbsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Salt
3 tbsp Butter | cold
1/4 cup Milk | skim
2 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 tsp Cinnamon
2 Eggs | beaten
1/2 cup Raisins
METHOD
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
1 cup White Flour
1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
1/4 cup Brown Sugar
3 tbsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Salt
3 tbsp Butter | cold
1/4 cup Milk | skim
2 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 tsp Cinnamon
2 Eggs | beaten
1/2 cup Raisins
Glaze
1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
2 tsp Milk | skim
1/4 tsp. Vanilla Extract
METHOD
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Mix Flour, Brown Sugar, Baking Powder, and Salt together in a bowl.
Cut in cold Butter, by either using a pastry cutter, two knives, or electric mixer.
Add Milk, Vanilla Extract, Cinnamon and Eggs mixing until blended.
On a lightly floured surface, lay dough out, kneading in the Raisins.

Form dough into a circle and using a knife, slice dough into 12 equal pie wedges.
Bake for 15 minutes, allowing to cool before you glaze.
To make your glaze, mix together Powdered Sugar, Milk and Vanilla Extract.
